You don’t need to smoke a Cuban cigar when this Cuban SPAM®wich has all the flavor you’ll ever need. Made with kosher dill pickles, swiss cheese and a spicy mustard, you’ll want to move to Cuba and eat these all day.

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces SPAM® Classic, sliced thin on a meat slicer
  • 1 (6-inch) soft French roll
  • 2 tablespoons of softened butter, unsalted
  • 2 ounces kosher dill pickle, thinly sliced lengthwise
  • 2 ounces Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons spicy prepared mustard

Directions

  1. Preheat a flattop grill or panini press to 375°F or to medium high.
  2. Cut the roll in half and place 1 ounce of cheese on the bottom half, then layer the thinly sliced SPAM® Classic on top, folding it as you go down the bread.
  3. Top the SPAM® Classic with the pickle slices and the remaining 1 ounce of cheese.
  4. Spread the mustard on the roll, then top the roll and place on sandwich.
  5. Brush the remaining butter on both sides of the bread, and place on the grill for 2 minutes. While grilling, firmly press down on the sandwich.
  6. After one side has turned golden brown and crispy, flip the sandwich and grill for 2 to 3 minutes longer while pressing down.
