SPAM® Monte Cristo Sandwich
Total Time: Under 30 Min Makes: 6 servings
Who is Monte Cristo you say? It's not that artist who wraps islands with fabric. Apparently Monte Cristo comes from the French croquet-monsieur. While we don't speak French but we do speak spiced ham and in the French to spiced ham online translator, croquet-monsieur means roughly, "ooh-la-la, spiced ham and cheese!"
Directions
  1. 1

Cut SPAM® Classic into 12 slices and cook until golden brown. Layer cheese and SPAM® on 6 slices bread; cover with remaining slices bread.

  2. 2

In bowl, mix eggs and milk; quickly dip both sides of sandwiches into egg mixture. On griddle or skillet, sauté sandwiches in margarine over medium heat until cheese is melted and both sides are browned.
