SPAM® Paella

Savor the flavor of this Filipino favorite that combines the sizzling deliciousness of SPAM® Classic with diced bell peppers, onions, saffron, tomato and pimento.

  • 1 (12-ounce) can SPAM® Less Sodium, cubed
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 white onion, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 to 2 pinches saffron
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 3 tablespoons chopped pimento

  1. In large skillet over medium-high heat, cook SPAM® Less Sodium 3 to 4 minutes or until lightly browned. Add oil, garlic and onion; cook, stirring 2 to 3 minutes or until onions are softened.
  2. Add bell peppers and saffron; cook 2 minutes. Add tomato paste, stirring to combine. Stir in rice. Garnish with pimiento.
