SPAM® Pizza Casserole

When zoo animals get hungry, you tame them with food to keep them happy. Same with teens. When they get hungry, throw some of these zesty, satisfying casserole their way. Otherwise, those wild, ravenous beasts are going to turn your kitchen into a zoo.

  • 2 12-ounce cans SPAM® Oven Roasted Turkey, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 10.75-ounce can Cheddar cheese soup
  • 6 cups frozen shredded hashbrown potatoes, thawed
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 4-ounce can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 14- to 16-ounce jar pizza sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups shredded pizza cheese blend
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil


  • 1.Heat oven to 400ºF. Grease 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
  • 2.In medium bowl, combine potatoes, soup, egg, salt and pepper; mix well. Spread mixture evenly in pan. Bake 20 to 22 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • 3.Meanwhile, in large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add SPAM® Oven Roasted Turkey, onion and mushrooms. Cook 5 to 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Stir in pizza sauce.
  • 4.Sprinkle hot potato crust with 2 cups cheese. Top with SPAM® mixture and remaining 2 cups cheese. Bake 5 to 7 minutes or until cheese is melted. Cut pizza into squares.
