SPAM® and Gravy on Biscuits

Put gravy on anything and you’ll make it good. Put SPAM® Classic on anything and you’ll make it great.

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 12-ounce can SPAM® Classic, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 17.3-ounce can large buttermilk biscuit dough, refrigerated


  • 1.Prepare biscuits according to package directions.
  • 2.Meanwhile, in large skillet, sauté SPAM® Classic and onion in butter until SPAM® is lightly browned. Stir in flour and pepper; cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Stir in milk; cook, stirring occasionally, until mixture just comes to a boil. Reduce heat to medium; cook, stirring occasionally, until gravy is thickened.
  • 3.Serve gravy over hot biscuits.
