These aren't your aunt’s croissants. Because chances are, those croissants weren’t filled with a scrumptious surprise. What's the surprise? Well, we don't want to ruin it — you'll have to make it to find out.
1.Preheat peanut oil in nonstick skillet. Whisk together Dijon mustard, peach preserves, thyme and water. Cool in fridge. Beat egg whites until it begins to peak.
2.Slice 6 croissants. Mix together panko bread crumbs, pecans, sesame seeds and chili powder.
3.Dip SPAM® Classic slices in egg mixture, dip in panko bread mixture and then use your hand to press mixture into SPAM®. Fry until lightly browned on one side and then flip to brown on other side. Place on cooling rack.
4.Lightly toast croissants in skillet with butter. Take toasted croissants and spread both sides with Dijon mustard mixture, add slice of SPAM®.
