SPAM and Ricotta Stuffed Shells

Ingredients

  • 1 (12-ounce) package large pasta shells
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 (12-ounce) can SPAM® Classic, mashed with fork
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1 (28-ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated pecorino cheese
  • 5 leaves fresh basil

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350ºF. Coat 13x9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Bring 8-quart pot of water to a boil. Add pasta shells; cook 6 minutes. Drain; transfer to baking sheet to cool.
  3. In large bowl, combine SPAM® Classic, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese and chopped basil; mix well. Spoon into cooled pasta shells.
  4. In bottom of baking dish, spoon and spread 1 cup marinara sauce; arrange stuffed pasta shells over marinara sauce. Drizzle with remaining marinara sauce.
  5. Bake stuffed shells 30 minutes or until heated thoroughly. Sprinkle with pecorino cheese. Garnish with basil leaves.
