SPAM® Hot Vegetable Salad Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 6 whole wheat buns or Kaiser rolls, unsliced
  • 1 12-ounce can SPAM® Classic, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped broccoli
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced carrot
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons peppercorn ranch salad dressing

    Heat oven to 350°F.

    Cut thin slice from top of each bun. Remove center from each bun, leaving 1/2-inch wall.

    In bowl, combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Spoon filling evenly into buns, pressing into buns. Cover with tops of buns.

    Wrap each sandwich tightly in aluminum foil. Bake 20 minutes or until heated thoroughly and cheese is melted.
