2011 SPAM® Dish This! Recipe Exchange “Local Favorites Rate it &
Win” August 8 – October 3, 2011
We’re giving away $1,000 to the most creative, tasty crowd-pleasing local favorite recreated using SPAM® products, along with the chance to win SPAM®
products for other highly rated recipes. One grand prize winner will receive $1,000,
and four (4) runners up will each receive a one-year supply of SPAM®
products, courtesy of Hormel Foods.
How to enter:
- Upload an original local favorite recipe containing SPAM® products to the Dish
This! recipe exchange on http://www.SPAM.com.
Recipes must be submitted by September 26, 2011 to be eligible for voting. For recipe
authors submitting multiple recipes, only the highest-ranking recipe will be considered
during judging.
- Web visitors will have the chance to rate their favorite recipes from Monday, August 8, 2011 through Monday, October 3, 2011. Recipe ratings are limited to one vote
per recipe per day.
- At the end of the Meal Makeover Challenge, five (5) prizes will be awarded: the
top rated recipe will receive $1,000, and four (4) runners up will each receive
a one-year supply of SPAM® products. The top rated recipes will be determined
by multiplying a recipe’s total number of ratings by the average quality score.
- By entering and participating, you agree to the official rules below.

Rules
No Purchase or Payment of any Kind is Necessary to Enter or Win this Sweepstakes.
Purchase Will Not Increase Chance of Winning.
- How to Enter: Sweepstakes begins on August 8, 2011 12:00 a.m. CST and
ends on October 3, 2011 11:59 p.m. (the "Promotion Period"). To enter the Sweepstakes:
Recipes must be submitted by September 26, 2011 11:59 p.m. to be eligible for voting.
To enter, you must have or create a SPAM® fan club profile. If you already
have an account, you will have to sign in to your account. If you are not an existing
member of the SPAM® fan club, you will be required to follow the directions
and join the SPAM® fan club. When you join the SPAM® fan
club, you are indicating that you have read and agree to accept the SPAM® fan
club Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Membership to the SPAM® fan
club is free. To enter the Sweepstakes, sign in to your SPAM® fan club
profile and upload an original recipe containing SPAM® products to http://www.SPAM.com. Hormel Foods Corporation
("Hormel Foods") employees, promotion and judging agencies, and each of their respective
parents, affiliates, divisions, and agencies, and all of the foregoing entities'
respective employees, officers, directors, shareholders and agents (the "Released
Parties") are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry
information, human or printing errors, or for late, lost, incomplete, stolen, misdirected,
mechanically reproduced, or illegible and/or postage-due mail or entries. All entries
become the property of Sponsor. Entries will be deemed to have been submitted by
the authorized SPAM® fan club account holder associated with the username
used to enter via SPAM.com. The authorized account holder is defined as the natural
person who is assigned to a username by SPAM.com. You must enter using only
a SPAM.com account subscribed to and registered in your name. The potential winner
may be required to provide Sponsor with proof that he/she is the authorized account
holder of the user name/SPAM® fan club account associated with the winning
entry.
- Eligibility: Sweepstakes open only to legal residents of 50 United
States who have reached the age of majority in his/her jurisdiction of residence
at time of entry. Hormel Foods employees, promotion and judging agencies, each of
their respective parents, affiliates, divisions, and agencies, and their respective
immediate families (spouse, parents, children and siblings and their respective
spouses) and household members of each are ineligible to enter or win. Sweepstakes
is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void
where prohibited or restricted by law.
- Rating: After users have uploaded their recipe to http://www.SPAM.com and have received word the recipe
has been approved for posting, they are responsible for spreading the word to enlist
supporters to rate their recipe submission. Submitters may not solicit votes from
any party by way of incentivizing through promise of compensation, either in money
or product. One (1) Grand Prize winner and four (4) runners up will be chosen on
or about October 17, 2011 by Burson-Marsteller, an independent judging organization
on their sole discretion and whose decisions on all matters pertaining to the Sweepstakes
are final. All properly claimed prizes will be awarded. Odds of winning depend on
the total number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. Limit
of one prize per person, family or household, per calendar year. Winners will be
notified by e-mail associated with SPAM® fan club account. You must
provide mailing address to claim your prize, and winners may be required to sign
an affidavit of eligibility (which affirms that they have complied with these Rules)
as well as a liability release, and, where legal, a publicity release, all of which
must be completed, signed and returned within fourteen (14) days from date on which
the documents are sent to the prospective winner or the prize will be forfeited
and awarded to an alternate winner. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission
for Sponsor to use winners' names, recipes and likenesses for advertising and promotional
purposes without additional notice or compensation unless prohibited by law.
- Prize: Total of Five (5) Prizes: one (1) Grand Prize – $1,000 cash
to be awarded in the form of an American Express gift card, and four (4) runners
up – one (1) year supply of SPAM® products (24 cans or two (2) cans
per month). Total Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of product prize: $72.00. No
transfer of prize will be permitted. Gift card is subject to standard terms set
by issuer. For recipe authors submitting multiple recipes, only the highest-ranking
recipe will be considered during judging. Odds of winning are dependent on number
of eligible entries received. All taxes, fees and any other expenses not specified
herein, including without limitation, income taxes, related to the prize awarded
and its receipt are the sole responsibility of the winner. No prize substitution
or transfer of prize permitted except by Sponsor. If a potential winner does not
wish to accept the prize, an alternate will be selected by Sponsor’s judging organization
from the pool of eligible entrants. By entering, participants and winners agree
to be bound by these Official Rules and agree to release, discharge and hold harmless
the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, actions, damages and/or
liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection
with participation in and/or entry into this Sweepstakes or acceptance, use, misuse,
non-use or possession of any prize won or in connection with any Sweepstakes-related
activity or from merchandise delivery, from claims based on publicity rights, defamation,
invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, trademark infringement, or any other
intellectual property or personal rights related cause of action. All details of
a prize not set forth herein shall be determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion.
- General Conditions: The Released Parties are not responsible for
printing or typographical errors in any Sweepstakes-related materials or for stolen,
lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, postage-due, and/or illegible entries
or mail. If, in Sponsor's opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of
tampering with any portion of the Sweepstakes, or if fraud or actions by entrants,
compromise, corrupt or affect the administration, integrity, security, fairness,
or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion
to disqualify any individual and/or void any entries submitted fraudulently, to
modify or suspend the Sweepstakes, or to terminate the Sweepstakes and conduct a
random drawing to award the prizes using all non-suspect eligible entries received
as of the date of such action.
- Use of Data: Sponsor will be collecting personal data about entrants
online, in accordance with its privacy policy. Please review the Sponsor's privacy
policy at http://www.hormelfoods.com/privacy.aspx. By participating
in the Promotion, entrants hereby agree to Sponsor's collection and usage of their
personal information and acknowledge that they have read and accepted the foregoing
privacy policies.
- Winner's List: For a list of the winners, send a self-addressed
